Hook Brescia
The first hook was designed at Tipilo for a very specific client. This initial project served as the foundation and inspiration for the subsequent development of the hook itself, which then became a broader and more versatile product.
After this first experience, Tipilo created a hook intended for direct sale to a wide range of clients, which was named “Brescia,” in honor of the territorial and social context in which we operated at the time.
At that time, the market offered exclusively a Venetian-style curtain system consisting of a rather rigid and fixed setup: a ceiling-mounted fixture that supported a rail on which the curtain system slid.
The sliders, in turn, attached to the curtain through a tape sewn onto the fabric, using this type of hook, called a “proboscis” hook because of its distinctive shape.
Although this solution was effective, it had practical and functional limitations that pushed Tipilo to further develop the hook’s design, improving its versatility and adaptability to new market needs, thus giving rise to a broader range of products.
