This is why atp is committed to promoting medicinal herbs, pursuing two main objectives. The first is to encourage the sharing of high-quality raw materials among employees, promoting the use of medicinal herbs in cooking.
These aromatic plants represent a natural and healthy alternative to common chemical products used to flavor food, allowing the creation of more genuine and flavorful dishes while respecting traditional Italian culinary practices.
The second objective is to preserve and transmit knowledge of the traditions associated with the use of aromatic herbs, which have helped make Italy famous worldwide.
In the 1980s, for example, many herbs now common in northern Italy were not widely available: oregano, for instance, was not easy to find, and the local alternative was Field Savory, an herb now almost forgotten.
Today, thanks to atp's efforts, these plants are being rediscovered and reintroduced, both in the kitchen and as part of Italy’s cultural and natural heritage.
The project not only strengthens corporate culture and employee well-being but also contributes to biodiversity conservation and the promotion of Italy’s botanical heritage, keeping precious and forgotten traditions alive.
